10D-FB Cable
A high-quality 10D-FB cable (Ø13 mm) is widely used in cellular amplification systems as well as for switching various RF devices operating at frequencies up to 6 GHz. This cable version has a center conductor made of copper-clad aluminum (CCA).
10D-FB Cable Main Features
The main difference between the 10D-FB cable and the cheap RG-58 series is the significant reduction in loss of the RF signal. When using cheap RG-58 cables, unwanted attenuation is already noticeable at 10-15 meters of cable length. With the 10D-FB cable, the cable length can be up to 50 – 100 meters while the end device (repeater, router, or cellular modem) still receives sufficient signal strength.
The main advantage of the 10D-FB cable is its very low signal attenuation. Compared to the 5D-FB cable, the 10D-FB has almost 2 times lower signal attenuation, and 4 times lower compared to RG-58.
The main disadvantage of the 10D-FB is the complexity of installation due to the thickness of the cable (jacket diameter is 13 mm) and the large bending radius.
10D-FB cable is recommended for use in the following cases:
- connection of critical equipment (for example, antenna cable for base stations)
- the distance from the repeater to the outdoor antenna is too long
- the distance from the repeater to the indoor antenna is too long
- there are many components in the signal amplification system
- a too weak signal from the base station of the mobile operator
Our cable supports a variety of RF connectors (N, SMA, TNC, FME, and others). The impedance of 50 ohms guarantees compatibility with radio equipment.
The cable’s conductor is made of Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), cheaper than a pure copper conductor but has comparable technical specifications. A foamed polyethylene dielectric ensures the cable’s good flexibility. The outer jacket complies with fire protection requirements and is provided with the “Low Smoke Zero Halogen” (LSZH) jacket. Since the cable jacket is made of UV-resistant material, you can use the cable both indoors and outdoors.
